Dogs in the Park and at the Beach

This is important information for all dog walkers and dog owners at Cultus Lake Park, whether resident, camper or visitor. The Park is dog-friendly, with the following regulations in place for the safety and consideration of all:

DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AND UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES IN THE PARK. (Except when on private property, i.e. residence or vehicle.)

DOGS MUST BE WALKED ON THE PATHS TO THE DOG BEACH, NOT ALONG THE BEACH  until arrival at the designated dog beach/swim area. Dog swim areas are well marked with signs. There is a large fenced off-leash dog play area behind the Plaza.

DOG SWIM AREAS: dogs must be under control at all times when at the designated swim areas. This is for the safety of all people and dogs in the area.

DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO RUN AT LARGE in any public area in the Park, including the grassed areas and paths and trails in the trees.

DOG DROPPINGS MUST BE PICKED UP IMMEDIATELY!

Please be advised that Park Patrol and Sunnyside Campground Bylaw Enforcement Officers will be making frequent patrols of the beach, and violation tickets will be issued for contravention of the above regulations from the Good Neighbour Bylaw.

Help keep the beach at Cultus Lake clean and safe for all to enjoy.
