Road Closure: Spruce & Balsam Streets

A traffic controlled road closure for Spruce Street and Balsam Street from May 21 to 22, 2015 for asphalt removal and paving. 

Please do not park on Spruce Street or Balsam Street boulevard sections during this time.

Parking will be available along Sunnyside Boulevard and at the Cultus Lake Elementary School. Parking permits must be displayed.

1st Annual Cultus Lake Community Garage Sale - Sat. May 9: 8am to 2pm

RAIN OR SHINE - COME OUT, FIND A BARGAIN and HAVE FUN!

Over 40 Park residents have signed up so there will be lots of good deals to be had. 

Maps with participant addresses will be available at the Sunnyside Blvd Kiosk as of 8 am.

There will be Free Parking on Sat. May 9th from 8 am to 2 pm in Lot A and Lot B and the permit areas on Sunnyside Blvd and Lakeshore Dr. Residents with parking stickers are encouraged to park in these designated areas to allow for garage sale patron parking at the residences. Lions Parking will not be patrolling the above-noted parking areas from 8 am to 2 pm during the garage sales; paid parking will come into effect at 3 pm on Saturday.

This event has been advertised in the Chilliwack papers and coincides with the City-wide garage sale. Come out early for the best selection!

Community Wildfire Prevention Info Meeting Tues Apr 28, 7 pm @ Hall

There will be a public meeting at 7 pm at the Community Hall on Tues, Apr. 28, 2015. 

Fuel Management Specialists from the Coastal Fire Center's Wildfire Management Branch, part of the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, along with Cultus Lake Park staff will be on hand to discuss upcoming fuel management work taking place in an area encompassing a 7.4 hectare corridor adjacent to Sunnyside Boulevard and extending along Mountain View, beginning in early May and continuing as resources permit. There will be crews with chainsaws in the prescribed zone, removing ground cover and some small trees while adhering to WorkSafe BC standards.

This project is part of the Strategic Wildfire Prevention Initiative (SWPI). The project was approved and budgeted for by the Park Board in 2014, after the successful award of a Provincial grant to fund 75% of the $17,500 project as part of the Community Wildfire Prevention Program. Notice of Total Road Closure Wed Mar 4 affecting portion of Lakeshore Dr

Please be advised that due to a gas main installation, there will be a complete closure of the portion of Lakeshore Dr affecting homes south of 32 Lakeshore and 218 Lakeshore. There will be NO VEHICLE ACCESS on the affected portion of Lakeshore Dr between 9:30 am and 2 pm. Day and overnight parking is available in Lot A for the approximately 28 homes if required. 

All affected properties will be individually notified. We appreciate your patience while this gas main installation is underway.

2015 Residential Lease Invoices DUE MARCH 15

The 2015 invoices have been mailed out. 

Please note that payment is due March 15, 2015. Due to the payment deadline falling on a weekend, payments will be accepted on Monday, March 16.

You are encouraged to drop off or phone in your payment in advance of the deadline, please. The payment can be post-dated and will be processed on the due date.

We do accept telephone payments using Visa or MasterCard.

2015 Committees - correction to Feb. 3 post

Please disregard the previous posting regarding committees as it contained errors. We apologise for any confusion and invite you to contact the Executive Assistant if you have questions related to this update.

The Cultus Lake Park Board will be adopting new Terms of Reference for the following committees which were approved on January 7th. Committee members and volunteers are needed. Deadline for consideration on new committees is February 17, 2015 although applications will be accepted and kept on file after that date.

To be considered as a committee member, please fill in a member application and drop it off at the office. Click here for the member application PLEASE SUBMIT APPLICATIONS BY FEBRUARY 17TH.

The Cultus Lake Aquatic Stewardship Strategy (CLASS) has issued a media release regarding the effect of levels of phosphorus and nitrogen on Cultus Lake water quality. View the media release here.
