Citizens on Patrol - Community Ambassadors *2015 Update: COP is on hold due to a lack of volunteers! We need your help!

In August, 2003, the Cultus Lake Park Board unanimously supported the implementation of the Citizens on Patrol (COP) program within the Cultus Lake Park area. In 2004, the COP program began on the May long weekend and continued through to the September long weekend. Volunteers in groups of 4 to 6 individuals patrol the streets of Cultus Lake Park on Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00p.m. to 1:00a.m. Per season, the COP members patrol a total of approximately 300 hours. The goal of the COP is to be the "eyes and ears" for the Cultus Lake Park Patrol, helping to control late night noise and vandalism

Support for the COP is provided by the ICBC Auto Crime Prevention Program, the local RCMP and the Cultus Lake Park Board.

Citizens on Patrol is looking for new members. If you are interested in volunteering a few hours every 3 weeks as a COP member, please complete the application form and send it to: info@cultuslake.bc.ca
