Are you community-minded? Are you interested in helping to make positive change in the Cultus Lake Park community? There are several interesting opportunities to volunteer in many of the Park’s committees.
The committees are:
Community Events and Engagement Committee
The purpose of this select committee is to create experiences that promote community spirit and pride in Cultus Lake Park. This committee plans and implements a wide variety of activities throughout the Park, promoting engagement from both residents and non-residents. The committee is chaired by Commissioner Lamb.

Operational and Financial Core Review Committee
This select committee provides options to the Board with respect to the provision, alteration or elimination of core operating systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the financial accounting systems, budgeting and reporting systems, and any contracts that the Park has entered into. The expectation is that the findings of this committee will recognize the financial implications of such decisions for the current budget and beyond. The committee is chaired by Commissioner Renwick with Commissioner Smit as Vice Chair.

Environmental and Public Area’s Planning Committee
The purpose of this standing committee is to review and assist in developing the Main Beach/Foreshore Master Plan and the Urban Forest Management Plan. The committee is chaired by Commissioner Bauer with Commissioner Payeur as the Vice Chair.

The Cultus Lake Park community is engaged and proactive. Your voice matters and your input, ideas and participation in these committees is crucial to the fabric of the Park. Each of the committees provides key feedback, insight and assistance for the Board and staff about how the Park can be improved, maintained and managed.
If you have a few hours a month that you can contribute, we encourage you to consider participating as a part of one of the committees. Here is a link to the volunteer application form. As a member of a committee, you will become a part of the Park’s legacy – helping us to be the best that we can be!
The deadline to apply is January 9, 2020.
