Fraser Valley Scuba Club Recovers Waste from Cultus Lake

On Sunday, September 19, thirty volunteer divers from the Fraser Valley Scuba Club arrived at Main Beach to recover refuse and waste from the lake. Towels, clothing, cameras and even an old motor likely used as a buoy anchor, were some of the many items removed this past weekend.

Cultus Lake Park is fortunate to have the support from local groups who dedicate time to keep Cultus Lake clean. Their hard work, time and efforts are invaluable to ensure we protect the diverse Eco System of the lake.

On behalf of the Board and staff, thank you to the Fraser Valley Scuba Club!

This is a great reminder to enjoy Cultus Lake responsibly to protect and preserve for future generations.
