Fraser Valley Regional District shared some helpful tips to keep your residence prepared for the current heavy rainfall and snow melt.
In addition, the Cultus Lake Park office has eighteen flood emergency kits remaining for any resident in the area. These buckets contain important cleaning items and an information package for assist in flood recovery.
The park office is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, should you wish to collect an emergency kit.

Flooding can happen at any time of year. You can prepare for winter flooding and protect your property by checking these tasks off your emergency preparedness list.
Make sure ice is cleared from outdoor drains and downspouts
Remove snow from ground-level doors and windows
Check that your roof doesn’t have ice dams
