Overnight Camping in Public Areas

Bring your chairs and sun umbrellas to the beach, park your tent in the campground.

Cultus Lake Park Board staff recognizes the importance of staying cool during hot temperatures and we welcome chairs, blankets and sun umbrellas to Main Beach and foreshore public areas in Cultus Lake Park.

A reminder to friends and visitors that we do not welcome overnight stays in public areas other than registered campers in Sunnyside Campground.

CULTUS LAKE PARK MANAGEMENT OF PUBLIC AREAS BYLAW NO. 1146, 2019 STATES:

3.9 No person will place or occupy any building, structure, works, tent, vehicle, secondary temporary accommodation, or recreational vehicle on any part of the park, other than

on a lot for which a lease or written permission has been issued by the Board.

3.15 NO SQUATTERS OR OVERNIGHT CAMPING IN A PUBLIC AREA.

As per the Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw No. 1140, 2019, Schedule 6 – 3.15 Camping in Public Areas Fine is $500.

Please be reminded that the park area closes at 11:00 pm, beach and public areas will be monitored and enforced with respect to the above bylaw sections.
