You Can Light Up a Tree for Christmas at Cultus Lake Park!

This blog post was developed in response to a request from the Cultus Lake Park Community Events and Engagement Committee – which is made up of community volunteers.

Who’s getting excited for the winter holiday season? You? Us? Everyone!

Cultus Lake Christmas is just around the corner – on November 29 and 30 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Community Events and Engagement Committee’s (CEEC) event – Cultus Lake Christmas – is fun for the whole family. There are beautiful Christmas lights in the trees and reflecting off of the lake; a visit from the jolly fella himself – Santa Claus; an artisan gift market; a bonfire with marshmallows, hot chocolate and apple cider; and food for purchase. It’s all here – and Cultus Lake Christmas is the can’t miss celebration of the season.

The Christmas lights will remain on throughout December to help us all stay in the spirit of the season.

The CEEC has sponsorship packages available for those who would like to support this annual (and super fun) event!

Please see the image for information on how you can help.

See you at Cultus Lake Christmas.

Each week – from Monday to Thursday – 10 GREEN rocks marked with “www.cultuslake.bc.ca” are hidden around Cultus Lake Park. Find one of the rocks, take it to the Park Office during office hours Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and you will get a small prize (that will make a young child very happy). You will also be entered to win the GRAND PRIZE for that month.

The GREEN rocks are hidden in the Cultus Lake Park Main Beach area on Monday mornings and they are picked up on Thursday evenings. This is a WEEKDAY-ONLY contest. You won’t be able to find a green rock on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays – you have to come out during the week.

It’s only one entry per week per family – so if you find more than one GREEN rock, please leave it in place for someone else to find!

We will draw the grand prize for this month on August 27, 2019 – just prior to the Labour Day long weekend.

Good luck to everyone this month!

Cultus Lake Golf Club Offers Toptracer Range

This blog post was developed for a Cultus Lake Day sponsor and is part of their sponsorship package.

Located in Cultus Lake Park, Cultus Lake Golf Club is a beautiful place to play, whether you have time to play 9 or 18 holes, or just practice your game on the range. If you just want to unwind and enjoy a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) and cocktails on the deck overlooking the course, be sure to visit Legends Bistro.

Improve your swing at Cultus Lake Golf Club and try something that no one else has to offer. Look and feel like a pro – even if you are just a beginner – with Toptracer Range technology at your fingertips. Cultus Lake Golf Club is the first facility offering this ultra-modern technology in the Lower Mainland, and third in the entire country. That’s all of Canada – and we’re a pretty big place!

Toptracer Range offers the latest in golf technology – that same technology that is utilized on the PGA tour during their live broadcasting. Toptracer uses cameras and monitors to track your shots, while offering fun, engaging games that are great for any skill level. The shot history data and specific club performance details will appeal to the experienced golfers, while the interactive games and competitions will be of interest to beginners – or anyone just looking for something new to do in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.

Toptracer is changing the face of golf by making it exciting and fun for everyone, whether you’re a scratch golfer or a beginner.

Polish up those clubs and head on out to the course with friends and family. (Rentals are available.) Don’t forget to book your very own Toptracer Lounge Bay, where you can sit back and enjoy food and drinks in your own private, comfortable outdoor lounge while everyone in your group works on their game.

At Cultus Lake Golf Club, the staff are helpful and welcoming, there is plenty to do, and the food is great.

Get away from it all, in the middle of everything. It’s worth a visit!

Summer Farmers’ Market at the Plaza

Did you know that the Summer Farmers’ Market at Cultus Lake Park has a new location – the Community Barn in the Cultus Lake Park Plaza (next to Frosty’s)? This popular weekly event runs every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until August 31.

For Sunnyside Campground guests and visitors from Chilliwack, Fraser Valley and the Lower Mainland, there is free parking available for two hours at the Plaza. Just put your licence plate number into a meter and you’re all set to check out the great vendors at the Summer Farmers’ Market and all that there is to choose from in the shops at the Cultus Lake Park Business Plaza.

Each week, the Summer Farmers’ Market brings some regular (and favourite) vendors, along with a few new ones to check out. There is live music – and some little children have gotten in on the fun – dancing their way into our hearts!

The Summer Farmers’ Market offers visitors a range of locally sourced items to choose from – including fresh produce, baked goods, craft beer, small batch whiskey and vodka, herbs, flowers, handmade soaps, essential oils, jewellery and more.

Come and see what’s there, get something delicious to eat, or find a gift for someone special (like yourself!). The new location gives you lots of space to park and wander around, checking out what the market has to offer each week.
