Star Nation Days Canoe Race

This event has ended

Cultus Lake Park will be hosting the Star Nation Canoe Club’s, Star Days Days Special Event from Saturday September 25th to Sunday September 25th, 2021. The Park will welcome family and members of the canoe clubs on Friday September 24th, to begin the setup of their overnight camping and placement of canoes along Main Beach.

The event begins Saturday at 9am to 5pm, with double and single eleven-to-six-man canoe races, followed by men’s and women’s youth races. On Sunday from 9am to 12pm the races continue with women’s and men’s single canoe marathon races. While the race commences, watch participants battle it out at the beach CrossFit and padding competition.

The Star Nation Canoe Club will be collecting parking fees in Parking Lot A for the duration of the event from Saturday September 25th to mid-afternoon on Sunday September 25th, 2021. These fees will support the Star Nation Canoe Club’s ability to host and facilitate these events for the local community.

If you are a participate please note these updates from the organizers:

RV’s, campers, and trailers can no longer park on the beach side grassy areas.  Tenting on the grass will be allowed – no vehicles will be allowed to park in the tenting area – drop off allocated in designated areas only.  There will be an area marked off near the Cultus Lake Office for RVs and trailers, as well as space along the backside of Parking Lot A.

Trucks will not be allowed on the grass area and we have limited drop off space by the beach. Canoes can be dropped off and vehicles can then be parked in designated Star Nation Canoe Club Parking Lot, which is Lot A – maps will be available.

The Main Parking lot above the race site will have regular Cultus Lake parking fees, not supervised by the race committee, tickets will be issued to those who do not pay.

The designated Star Nation Parking Lot (A) will have plenty of parking by donation to support the canoe club.
