Thank you to everyone who stopped by the beach last Friday.

It was wonderful to connect with community members, visitors, & to hear about the simple steps being taken to reduce wildfire risk, and see participants take part in the FireSmart Action Challenge for some fun swag.

We look forward to continuing these friendly FireSmart conversations throughout August, with upcoming stops at Sunnyside Campground Store on August 7, Oak Street Park on August 14, and the Plaza on August 21, 2026.

Please keep an eye out for more FireSmart initiatives and opportunities to get involved throughout the rest of the year. We hope to see you at an upcoming event!

Hello everyone! My name is Anna, and I am your Local FireSmart Representative.
Starting this Friday, I’ll  be hosting “FireSmart Fridays” throughout August.

Every Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., I’ll set up a booth at a different location in the community.

Come by and say hello—I look forward to getting to know the Cultus Lake community.

Cultus Lake Park is pleased to welcome Anna Klimek as the Auxiliary FireSmart Coordinator. This temporary position supports the Park’s FireSmart initiatives, including wildfire preparedness, risk reduction, community education, outreach, assessments, and coordination with partner agencies.

Reporting to the Manager of Park Operations, Anna will help strengthen community awareness and resilience while supporting the delivery of FireSmart activities in accordance with provincial guidelines, grant requirements, and local government best practices.
