Cultus Lake Park is your recreation destination for fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, hiking, swimming and so much more! Located only 11 kilometers south of the Chilliwack River, it is the gem of the Fraser Valley.
While you are here come support our local restaurants, shops and amusement parks! There is something for the entire family to enjoy. This unique community is also home to more than 1,500 residential leaseholders, 21 commercial businesses and Sunnyside Campground, with close to 600 campsites. The park receives no funding on a Local, Provincial or Federal level and is entirely self-sustaining. We appreciate all of your continued support to protect and preserve this natural landmark.

Beginning this evening, September 15, 2025, per the Per Management of Public Areas Bylaw No. 1254, 2025, the park will transition to our winter hours with respect to parking lots and washroom availability.
September 14, of each year, and from 8:00 pm – 7:00 am from September 15 – May 15, of each year. The CAO or Designate will have discretion to alter these times. Please note that parking lots and washrooms will be closed by 8:00 pm.

The Cultus Lake Park Board has now received approval from the Province of British Columbia for the expansion of our Nominal tenure foreshore. Over the next few months, park staff and the Cultus Lake Park Board will be gathering information on foreshore users in the new expanded area, the Board will be reviewing and creating a new foreshore Bylaw that will incorporate the expanded area with the existing area.

Cultus Lake Water Levels
Cultus Lake Park staff will begin dismantling the weir today located on Sweltzer Creek in keeping with the Conditional Water Licence issued by the Province of British Columbia.
Staff will remove boards daily by September 15th in following the Conditional Water Licence and to avoid an abrupt drop in the lake levels and increase Swetlzer Creek velocity.
